Now that the smoke has cleared, I thought I’d share a winsome invitation that my lovely assistant Helen handcrafted back in August. This fine piece of artwork was for an off-the-map conversation among missional-minded folk at ACU’s Summit this past September. Dubbed “A Post-Restorationist Powwow,” it turned out to be an inspiring evening with the likes of Brian McLaren, et al (and beforehand I got to catch dinner with Brian at the restaurant I used to serve at—but that’s for another blog post). I simply gave Helen the conceptual layout, and Helen made it happen. A beloved professor noted, “This is singularly brilliant.” I smile every time I see this. And indeed, it was the precursor to an evening of meaningful dialog. I present to you the invitation to “A Post-Restorationist Powwow.”
